Circ is an independent magazine that explores the foundations of creative culture. It is dedicated to the importance of Circulating, distributing, publishing, sharing, and fostering non-hierarchical conversations through the assembly of collected text and visual communication. For each issue, we invite contributors to submit their thoughts, essays, stories, or any text format that aligns with a theme determined by the Circ team. Each theme is presented as a question, which evolves in response to the previous contributions, creating a dialogue-like cycle. We believe this slower dynamic of public discourse is essential to preserve in an age dominated by rapid digital interactions. Circ magazine aims to reinvent the concept of a semi-tangible forum through printed materials while providing an inclusive space for creative self-expression.
Paula Pokorná is an art director, creative technologist, occasional artist, and co-founder of the Circ Magazine. She works cross-disciplinarily between conceptual art, communication design and critical theory. Her research and concepts focus on simulation and sociocultural issues mediated by the internet culture. Paula is currently pursuing postgraduate studies in Human-Computer Interaction at University College London.
